Does anybody know why Long Beach gets 153 million in the new relief bill compared to how little cities in Orange County get?

  1. What is the population to dollar sum distribution ratio? That is the only way to determine whether or not the distribution is equal.

  2. It appears that the figures for LA County and the Orange County are relative to their respective populations.

In terms of the cities mentioned, it appears that their population numbers are directly proportional to their county population numbers? We have a hard time finding out something from a fragment rather than the source. The city of Long Beach also has its own Department of Public Health.

  3. Thank you for the explanation, everyone!

Because of UCLB, the port, the higher population count, and the fact that they are in LA county, I’ve deduced that it is indeed a fair sum based on your answers.

    Thank you so much!
